Two Thumbs Up For the ‘Delray Affair’

April 8, 2013
Delray Beach, Fla.

Delray Affair
It’s not a movie title, but it could be….  Delray Beach’s big arts & craft festival is dubbed “The Greatest Show Under the Sun”.  More commonly known as the Delray Affair it’s just one of those annual events that shouldn’t be missed.
In honor of this week’s passing of the beloved Roger Ebert – The Kristin Stampini Team gives The Delray Affair 2 thumbs up.
The proof:  A basket full of handmade goodies that made their way home.
Kristin’s selections this year…hand painted wine glasses, beautiful hand-drawn notecards, hand painted sun visors, a 3-D replica of the University of Michigan football stadium, a cool picture collage corkboard that is uniquely hard to describe.  Great gifts!   Many of our real estate customers will be getting those notecards over the next year in the mail.  They are so cute… with a tropical house and the perfectly placed quintessential palm tree.
We love South Florida living!
This year the Delray Affair ran from April 5th-7th.  We recommend going every year.  “It’s the best,” said Kristin Stampini.
The event stretches up and down beautiful Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.  The roads are closed for 12 blocks from the Intracoastal west to NW 2nd Avenue.  Did we mention there is food all along the way?
We admit…we went on Friday, when it wasn’t exactly Chamber of Commerce style Florida sunshine.  But it was great anyway.  Maybe even a little better…Cool, not crowded, and a perfect transition from the work week to the work weekend.
If you didn’t make it this year…carve out sometime next year. You won’t regret a moment.
